Merry Christmas Everyone!

This message is coming just in time to wish everyone a Merry Christmas!  We have had quite an adventurous year this 2012.
Ally started Middle School this year and it was quite a change for her.  She really wasn't sure she would like it as so many changes went with it.  Well she got the kinks worked out and now says she actually really likes it.  Science is her favorite subject followed closely by her ELP class.  She even earned honor roll her first trimester with a perfect 4.0.  Eric and I are so very proud of her.
Tyler and Joshua are still at North Bend Elementary but started the 4th and 2nd grade.  They are enjoying school but really enjoy the extracurricular activities, especially baseball.  They both tried out for traveling teams and were excepted on the teams, 2013 if you are unable to find us chances are going to be good that we will be at a diamond somewhere.  :)
I started a new job.  I am no longer working at the church.  I started working at Scheels doing retail.  I am really enjoying it and the discount is amazing!  This is helping out our family so very much!
Eric is still working at Rockwell Collins in Cedar Rapids.  He is enjoying his work and that is all I know.
We have been blessed by our Savior in so many ways this last year.  As I reflect on this past year and all the events, I can't help but Thanks Jesus!  We have had such a wonderful 2012 and I am looking forward to what 2013 brings.  May God bless you and your families as well!

Baseball Season Is Among Us!

As the title says, baseball season is here!  We spend the Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday nights at the ball fields watching the boys play baseball.  It is so much fun to watch them as they continue to get better and better each year.  They both LOVE baseball and that makes it fun to watch as well.  I don't have any pictures of Tyler yet, but here are a couple from tonight's game of Joshua.
Getting Ready To Catch the Next Hit!

It's was a pop fly, and he caught it!  :)

Here he is batting, line drive down the third base line
on the first hit!  We were so proud!!

Both Joshua and Tyler are among the youngest on their teams for their leagues.  Both practice with each other and other kids in our park behind our house everyday and it shows.  I have to brag for just a minute, but they are truly some of the better players on their teams.  Great job boys, we love you!

P.S. When Tyler plays next week, I will snap some pictures of him and post them too.  :)

LONG time NO see!!!

Hello World!
I just realized it has been over a year since I posted to my blog.  Well, I have been inspired again today to start again.  So, with that here goes...

So, the school year is wrapping up here in a few short days.  The kids are super excited and can hardly wait.  They are excited to have the time off to play the computer and the Wii all day long (little do they know it will be very limited!)  They are also excited for our new live-in nanny to be joining us.  Her name is Cindy and she is a mom of a co-worker of mine.  God answered our prayers in so many ways regarding this situation.

We are right in the prime season for the boys baseball.  We live at the baseball fields on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays.  It is a crazy schedule but we never get tired of watching the boys doing something they absolutely LOVE!

I have again agreed to be the Cub Master for our Cub Scout Pack.  This is something that I do with both boys and they really enjoy.  It is a lot of work, but so worth it.  We are with another pack that isn't the pack associated with our current elementary school.  We are with a pack that the Tyler started with before we purchased our home, and never moved them.

I am still working 3/4 time at our church and loving it.  I feel called to this position for this time in my life and am totally content with all aspects of it.  The only thing I really struggle with is not being home with my kids as much.  I was a stay-at-home mom for 9 years.  Even though I have been working at our church for 1 1/2 years it doesn't seem to get any easier.

Eric is still working at Rockwell Collins in Cedar Rapids. Even though this is a new field for him, he enjoys the challenges that go along with his position.

This is just a quick update on us, yes we are still alive, and as you can see busy as ever but I do plan and will be intentional about being better at updates, I PROMISE!

Love To You All-
